Secret Garden in Marrakech: A Wedding Inspiration Photoshoot

This little project holds a special place in my heart, because it was inspired by and shot in my parents' riad in Marrakech, Morocco, while I was there on vacation. I styled the table using only items from our home or other relatives', and I picked the pomegranates, figs, olive branches and bougainvillea blossoms from our garden.
Special thanks go to my friend Sami for taking the photos, and to my cousin Samar for modelling, both with very little notice. And of course, to my mom and sister, for all their help and support. This was very much done in the Moroccan spirit: at the last minute, and with very little preparation, but I think it turned out pretty great smile emoticon.

Bridal Boudoir Affair 2013!

Once again, I've been a very bad blogger!  In my defence, life in the Cupcake et Macaron yummiverse has been quite a whirlwind lately!

Still, I just had to write a few words about the absolutely mind blowing 2013 Bridal Boudoir Affair! Having been part of it last year, I knew this year's edition would be nothing short of spectacular.  But as usual, the incomparable Maddy K and her amazing team managed to exceed all our expectations!

What they gave us was an exquisite sensory journey into the fabulous world of The Great Gatsby, all opulence, glitter and unadulterated fun!  It was such an incredible honor to be part of such a gorgeous event, alongside some of the best Montreal has to offer.  It was also so much fun to meet all these wonderful vendors and future brides and grooms!  I can't wait for next year!

And now, without further ado, a few photos of my own little display! The first few photos are my own unfortunate attempt at using my iPhone camera.  The actually nice ones were taken by the always fantastic Badger Photography.
